Built one of these myself although I used Y’s. I can see how would be a cheaper way do the same thing as you don’t need to by the fittings just the pipe.
Do you have a picture? I would love to see! This awesome video isn’t mine, but I am working on building them myself. Takes longer to heat the PVC than I originally expected, my first attempt was successful but ugly. I will be posting my 2 attempt soon!
